Intuitive Reiki
What is Intuitive Reiki Healing
Indigenous smudging and Drumming, Reiki, Intuitive Guidance, Tibetan singing bowl healing, Palo Santo Clearing, Chumpi Alabaster and chakra stones
Each session incorporates the healing powers of Reiki, indigenous healing practices, and intuitive counseling. An Intuitive Reiki Healing Session goes beyond just providing treatment; it creates a safe environment for individuals to let go, rejuvenate, and reconnect with their inner peace. These sessions offer a transformative experience that brings harmony to the mind, body, and spirit.
At the start of each session, we will discuss what you want to focus on, whether it's your physical, mental, or emotional well-being, releasing negative energy, or realigning your energy. After that, the healing process will begin. I'll channel Reiki energy into your body and share any intuitive messages I receive, tailoring the experience to your needs.
If you prefer, the Reiki process can be a quiet and very relaxing experience, leaving the communication until after you have received your full Reiki treatment. Regardless of how you wish to receive Reiki, the process unlocks the body's natural healing power by harnessing the flow of energy that Reiki provides.
Reiki restores the body to a state of balance by unlocking its natural healing abilities. It directly influences your central nervous system, allowing you to relax. Once you are relaxed, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing takes place.

Reiki is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment or prescribed medications. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose illness or disease, nor prescribe medication or treatment.
Reiki is accomplished through gentle touch or with the practitioner’s hands slightly above the body of the recipient. The recipient remains fully clothed. A warm and soothing energy flows from the hands of the practitioner into the recipient, releasing tension, creating deep relaxation, and facilitating healing.
What to expect from an in-person Reiki session with me:
Prior to a treatment I allow 5-10 minutes for you to share whatever you care to about the issues or conditions you wish to focus on. Based on this conversation, we establish an intention or focus for the session.
You are situated comfortably upon a treatment table.
I clear your energy with a traditional smudging technique and drum over you.
I offer a silent brief affirmative prayer restating your intention.
During the treatment, I will lightly touch your body or work above it, if you prefer, using a progression of hand positions that address specific organs, muscle groups, endocrine glands, and life themes.
During the treatment, I will share with you any intuitive messages I receive, you may ask questions at any time.
I will use a Tibetan singing bowl healing technique on you, ensure all energy is cleared with a Palo Santo Clearing, and offer a silent blessing for you.
Following the treatment, you will sit for a few minutes and have the opportunity to ask questions or share anything you care to about your experience.
I will share my observations and any insights I may have received that were not discussed during the session.
Self-Care After a Reiki Session
After a Reiki session your energetic body remains in a state of flux as it seeks stabilization and reintegration. It is important to support and assist this process.
Reiki Moves Energy
During a Reiki session, blocked or stagnant energy may be broken up and released, the energy of trauma or injury transmuted, the flow of energy directed in a more balanced way. Depending upon how in tune you are with your own body, you may be aware of these shifts or not. Regardless, changes are taking place. A lot happens!
Here’s how to obtain the greatest benefit from a Reiki Session:
Listen to your body. You may feel energized and enthusiastic about taking on new projects or tackling old ones. You may feel tired and need rest. You may want to spend the remainder of your day with a good book. Respond appropriately by giving your body what it asks for.
Avoid taking a bath or shower for 12 hours following a session to help energy stabilize. Then within 24 hours, if possible, take a salt bath, adding 2 cups or more of sea salt to warm bath water and soaking for 20 minutes or longer. This helps to cleanse the body energetically as well as remove toxins from the skin, the body’s largest organ. It is also nurturing and refreshing. If you don’t have access to a bathtub, you can rub sea salt on your body in the shower.
For 3 days following a Reiki session:
1. Avoid alcohol and limit caffeine.
2. Drink enough water to stay well hydrated.
3. Eat light, healthy meals
4. Get adequate rest. Exercise moderately. Avoid strenuous workouts.
5. Spend time in nature—walk in a park; sit quietly near a body of water.
6. Meditate or allow yourself 15-30 minutes of quiet time each day.
7. Minimize screen time.
8. Notice your feelings and the physical sensations in your body. Placing your attention on shifts taking place and insights gained will assist in anchoring new patterns, allowing them to become habits more easily. You may find it helpful to journal impressions that come to you during and following a session.
If you receive other energy work such as massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, sound healing, etc., schedule at least 3 days after receiving a Reiki session
Your Reiki session will still be beneficial if you do not follow these suggestions
Your Reiki session will be beneficial whether you follow these suggestions or not; however, incorporating them into your regimen will allow the energetic realignments set in motion during the session to stabilize and integrate more effectively on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Extend this period beyond three days if you are experiencing a healing reaction (see below). Or incorporate them in support of a healthy lifestyle!
Healing Reactions
After a Reiki treatment you may experience physical symptoms such as headache, nausea, fatigue. Occasionally, pain or discomfort will intensify briefly before releasing. These experiences are sometimes referred to as a Healing Reaction or a Healing Catharsis and are usually an indication that the body is detoxifying as it moves through the healing process. Should this happen, extend the regimen recommended above, taking care to stay well hydrated, get plenty of rest, and generally be kind to yourself.
Such symptoms usually dissipate within a few days. They are more likely to occur if you have not had energy sessions previously, if you have a chronic condition, or if you are chronically stressed. They are typically an indication that more Reiki is needed. If symptoms persist, consult a medical professional, as they may be unrelated to the session
Can YOU benefit?
You may benefit from Reiki if you answer yes to any of the following questions:
· Do you wish to support and maintain good health and well-being?
· Do you feel out of balance, have difficulty focusing, or feel scattered?
· Do you experience a high level of stress that is impacting your health or reducing your pleasure in life?
· Do you suffer from chronic pain?
· Do you have a chronic illness or condition?
· Are you experiencing job burn-out?
· Are you grieving the death of a loved one, or another significant loss?
· Are you at a crossroads in your life and wondering what is next?
· Are you seeking a deeper connection with Spirit?
Supporting other healing modalities
Reiki is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment; rather, it supports other modalities in a powerful way. For example: What psychotherapy addresses on a cognitive level, Reiki supports by shifting energy on a cellular level. As chemotherapy seeks to destroy cancer cells, Reiki aids in mitigating side-effects such as fatigue and emotional distress.
A Tool for Spiritual Transformation
For those who desire it, Reiki is a powerful tool for spiritual transformation, whatever your spiritual path. Reiki is unconditional love—the purest form of compassion. The deepest healing comes about through acceptance of ourselves and others without judgment. As we allow Reiki—unconditional love—to flow through us, we integrate the masculine with the feminine (cerebral brain with the intuitive brain in the gut) through the ministrations of the compassionate heart, and we come into balance with ourselves, with others, with our world.
At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity for you to reflect on your experiences. So much can happen in only a short time. I also share my experiences during the session. Reiki is not only energy, but also information. If any Divine messages come through, then I will share this information with you.
The results of these sessions are profound and can significantly shift the energy you are feeling in your body-mind. Those energy shifts create the space for your body to heal itself.
The human body is programmed for self-healing. Reiki is a soothing flow of energy that facilitates, supports, and enhances this natural healing process by moving energy. A Reiki session induces deep relaxation, releases tension and stress, and activates the body’s healing processes.
The energy used is not the practitioners, but the Universal Energy that flows through all of life. Because it is directed by the Higher Power and not the practitioner, the result is specific to each client. The healing that takes place is between the recipient and the Higher Power—the practitioner is simply the conduit for connecting the two in a more powerful way than the client can typically do for themselves.
Reiki: Frequently Asked Questions
· What is Reiki?
· Reiki is a Japanese healing practice that reduces stress, alleviates pain, and activates the body’s healing processes. It is accomplished through gentle touch or with the hands slightly above the body. · The healing practice known in the West as Reiki was developed in Japan early in the last century by Mikao Usui (1865-1926), a widely traveled man who was educated in a number of disciplines. Usui established a clinic in Tokyo and traveled throughout Japan, treating the sick and teaching Reiki until his death in 1926.
· In the mid-1930s, Hawayo Takata, an American of Japanese descent, sought treatment at the Tokyo clinic of one of Usui’s students, Dr. Chujiro Hayashi. Following her recovery from several serious health conditions, she remained in Japan to study with Dr. Hayashi.
· Mrs. Takata returned to Hawaii in the late 1930s and established a clinic in Hilo. She began teaching Reiki on the U.S. mainland in the 1970’s. Before her death in 1980 she had trained 22 teachers (Masters). Reiki has spread rapidly throughout the world in the years since, and practitioners are now found in almost every country.
